Eight Dodgers Prospects Joining 2025 Arizona Fall League; Branch Rickey Award Winners Announced
Josue De Paula, Kendall George Among Dodgers Prospects On Glendale Desert Dogs Roster

GLENDALE, AZ—While the Los Angeles Dodgers gear up for the final stretch of the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season, the Arizona Fall League rosters were announced last week amidst the busy news cycle.
The list features a total of eight prospects from the Dodgers organization assigned to the Glendale Desert Dogs.
Additionally, Triple-A Oklahoma City bench coach Chris Gutierrez is part of the Desert Dogs coaching staff.
Josue De Paula and Kendall George are the most prominent Dodgers prospects in the AFL, joined by Logan Wagner, Justin Chambers, Jakob Wright, Hyun-Seok Jang, Alex Makarewich, and Payton Martin.
The Arizona Fall League is scheduled to start on October 6th after the Minor League season ends, and it runs until November 12th. The postseason tournament begins the day after the regular season concludes.
The AFL championship is set for November 15th at Salt River Fields, the Spring Training venue for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.
The 19th annual AFL Fall Stars Game will take place on November 9th, with the AFL Home Run Derby happening the day before, on November 8th. Both events are held at Sloan Park, the spring training home of the Chicago Cubs.
The Dodgers also announced their 2025 Branch Rickey Award winners: Outfielder Eduardo Quintero (the club’s No. 4 prospect) and Christian Zazueta (No. 16).
In his third year, Quintero combined strike-zone control with power. He hit a career-high 19 home runs and posted a .293/.415/.508/923 slash line across Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes.
Zazueta was acquired from the Yankees in the February 5th, 2024, deal that sent Caleb Ferguson to New York. He has just finished his second season within the Dodgers’ system and his fourth professional season overall. The transition from 2024 to 2025 was notably significant.
2025: 2.41 ERA (best among Dodgers Minor Leaguers with at least 60 IP), 1.03 WHIP (career best), 81 K in 67 1/3 IP (10.8 K/9), only 18 earned runs all season.
2024: 5.20 ERA over 71 IP.
