LOS ANGELES, CA—The Los Angeles Dodgers continue their 10-game homestand on Monday as they welcome the Colorado Rockies to Dodger Stadium for a three-game National League West series. The Dodgers saw their three-game winning streak come to an end in Sunday’s series finale against the San Diego Padres, but they have still gone 7-3 over their last 10 games and enter the series just one win away from becoming the first team in Major League Baseball to reach 60 victories this season.
The Rockies head to Los Angeles after going 5-5 over their last 10 games, looking to build on a competitive stretch despite sitting near the bottom of the National League West standings. The Dodgers have controlled the season series so far, winning five of the first seven meetings between the division rivals as they look to continue strengthening their hold atop the division.

Who’s In & Who’s Out
The Dodgers could receive an immediate boost to their lineup as Tommy Edman is expected to return as soon as July 6th after being scratched from the lineup on July 5th. Edman was hit on the right foot and ankle by a pitch the previous day, and the club opted to give him an extra day of rest as a precaution.
The bullpen is also nearing reinforcements. Right-hander Evan Phillips completed his rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City and is expected to be activated on July 6th after recovering from Tommy John surgery. Fellow right-hander Edwin Díaz, sidelined since April 20th with loose bodies in his right elbow, threw live batting practice for the first time on July 5th and is expected to begin a rehab assignment next. Kiké Hernández also took a significant step in his recovery from a left oblique strain, taking live at-bats against Díaz on July 5th for the first time since landing on the injured list.
The Dodgers continue to monitor several other key contributors nearing returns. Catcher Will Smith has resumed baseball activities, including hitting in the cage and throwing, as he works back from neck inflammation. Right-hander Blake Treinen has resumed playing catch while recovering from right elbow inflammation but is not expected back until after the All-Star break. Meanwhile, Landon Knack continued progressing through his rehab assignment, throwing 2 2/3 innings on 50 pitches for Triple-A Oklahoma City on June 30th.
The starting rotation remains shorthanded, though there has been encouraging progress. Tyler Glasnow has resumed playing catch after being sidelined with lower back spasms, and the Dodgers remain hopeful he can avoid another setback ahead of a potential August return. Blake Snell began a bullpen progression on June 26th after undergoing treatment for loose bodies in his left elbow and could begin facing hitters around mid-July, putting him on track for a return in late July or early August.
The Dodgers also continue to carry several long-term injuries. Gavin Stone is working through a throwing program at the club’s Arizona complex as he recovers from right shoulder inflammation but has experienced difficulty ramping up. Brusdar Graterol is recovering from both right shoulder and back surgeries after undergoing an additional back procedure in late May. Ben Casparius and Bobby Miller are both rehabbing shoulder injuries in Arizona, while Jake Cousins continues recovering from Tommy John surgery and remains a potential option during the second half of the 2026 season.

The Rockies continue to battle a lengthy list of injuries heading into their series against the Dodgers. Right-handers Tomoyuki Sugano (back spasms) and Seth Halvorsen (right shoulder inflammation) were both placed on the 15-day injured list retroactive to July 1st and are targeting returns around July 16th. Sugano threw a bullpen session at Coors Field on July 5th and reported feeling good afterward, while Halvorsen said the shoulder discomfort had affected both his command and velocity.
Right-hander Jaden Hill (right shoulder tendinitis) also threw a bullpen session on July 5th and will be re-evaluated over the coming days. Veteran left-hander Jose Quintana remains on the 60-day injured list with a left elbow sprain but has progressed enough to avoid a follow-up MRI and hopes to resume playing catch at Dodger Stadium on July 6th.
The Rockies also suffered a setback with center fielder Brenton Doyle, who returned to Denver for evaluation on July 5th after experiencing left groin tightness during a rehab assignment. The new injury has bothered Doyle for about a week and has delayed his return from the injured list.
Colorado’s long-term injury list remains significant as well. Left-handed pitching prospect Welinton Herrera underwent an internal brace UCL repair on July 1st, while right-hander Blas Castaño hopes to resume throwing after recovering from a right pectoral strain. Right-hander McCade Brown continues to work his way back from right shoulder inflammation after undergoing an MRI on June 16th.
The Rockies will also be without several players for the remainder of the season or beyond. Right-hander Chase Dollander underwent internal brace surgery on his right elbow on June 22nd and is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 season. Right-handers RJ Petit and Pierson Ohl are both recovering from Tommy John procedures and are not expected back until 2027. Top prospect Ethan Holliday is also expected to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot. Veteran designated hitter Kris Bryant remains sidelined indefinitely with lumbar degenerative disk disease, with no timetable for his return.
